How are dividends reflected in a token?

Dividends from stock tokens traded on Dollarparking are not paid in cash.

Instead, the token issuer uses the corresponding dividend amount to buy more of the same stock and adds that value to the token.

Think of one stock token as a small basket.

The number of baskets does not increase

When a dividend is paid, the number of baskets in your personal wallet stays the same.

If you hold one basket, you still hold one after the dividend.

What changes is the amount and value of the underlying stock reflected by that basket.

Before the dividend: One basket reflects the value of a particular stock

After the dividend: One basket reflects more of that particular stock than before

The number of tokens does not increase.

Instead, the same basket holds more stock value.

You do not need to apply separately

You do not need to receive the dividend or request an additional purchase yourself.

The issuer uses the after-tax dividend to buy more of the same stock and reflects the result across all tokens.

This does not automatically lower the average price at which you bought the token.

It changes the amount of underlying stock reflected by each token.

The token price may differ from the stock price

As additional purchases using dividends accumulate, the price of one stock token may differ from the price of the underlying stock.

This does not mean that the token is tracking the price incorrectly.

The token reflects both the stock price and the result of buying more of the same stock with after-tax dividends.

Distributions from ETFs or U.S. Treasury ETFs may be handled in the same way.

Distribution occurs → Taxes and other amounts are deducted → More of the same ETF is purchased → The result is reflected in the token value

※ Dividend settlement and additional purchases of the same stock are managed by the stock token issuer, not Dollarparking.
